The latest TIME Magazine cover story focuses on Detroit where unemployment hovers around 30% and many parts of the city have a 50% abandonment rate. What I found intriguing about the report was that it wasn’t a “look how bad off they are!” story. Instead, it was a very poignant “hey, if it could happen to Detroit, it could happen to the U.S.” story. Scary shit.
The editors at TIME literally bought a house in Detroit and will be posting all kinds of content every day for the next year. Very insightful. Check it! -B

Ah man when I went to Detroit for the Bitter Cold Show Down it looked very similar to that picture. We saw nothing but abandoned, broken down houses.
